For the remainder of this month, HMRC are running a series of online seminars and presentations designed to support self employed UK workers on tax related issues.
The talks, which began this week, can be found on the HMRC website and cover subjects including general advice on self employment, business expenses and capital allowances, an overview of Limited Companies, the CIS scheme for contractors and how VAT works.
As well as live webinars throughout this month, which will each feature a 30 minute live Q&A with HMRC, there are a number of pre-recorded talks available at any time. HMRC hope that these talks will give tax advice to those considering self employment, as well as those who are already self employed.
The online webinars are available until the 29th February through the HMRC website, and can be supplemented by ICS’ extensive FAQs and tax related resources, as well as our downloadable guide to contracting.
ICS are one of the leading contractor accountants and administration companies and have helped thousands of contractors working in a range of industry sectors. You can contact us now for a tailored proposal based on your individual circumstances as a contractor.

Thanks for running this. Can I just add that these seminars will continue throughout the year and that HMRC will regularly update the list on its website.
