PCG Add Another Expert To NFD Panel

The PCG have announced another guest to sit on the expert panel at November’s National Freelancers Day. Jane Wood, Chief Executive of the charity Scottish Business in the Community, has worked to help improve the economic, social and environmental impacts of businesses, particularly those in the private sector.

The announcement that Jane Wood will be joining the panel comes after Alastair Campbell was also confirmed as a keynote speaker last week. Her experience has seen her working with local and national government in the public and private sector, and also won awards with the Institute of Directors. Speaking about the national freelancers day she said;

“I am delighted to be invited to take part in National Freelancers Day and be given the opportunity to pay tribute to those who have taken the work-lifestyle option of joining the growing freelance community.”

She continued, adding that the “vital” sector helps to bring skill, flexibility and talent to many areas, such as the IT and oil and gas sectors. John Brazier, the PCG’s managing director, said that they were delighted about this high profile addition to the expert panel due to her businesses experience and enthusiasm of the freelance sector.

The PCG are still selling tickets to the event, and more details can be found on the NFD site. ICS are also hosting the National Freelancers Day ‘Medieval Freelance Quiz’, created to celebrate the history of freelancing.
